Nathan S. Alexander, M.D. (Pediatric ENT)
Dr. Alexander received his Doctorate of Medicine from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA. He completed residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Alexander went on to complete a Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital) in Chicago, IL. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. His special interests include all aspects of Pediatric Otolaryngology including airway stenosis and obstructive sleep apnea, hearing loss and cochlear implantation, and the treatment of head and neck masses.

Robert O. Brown, III , M.D., Division Chief, Otolaryngology
Dr. Brown received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC where he also completed his residency. He is board certified in Otolaryngology and is an active staff member of Greenville Health System. He joined Greenville ENT Associates, PA in July 2000. In addition to being Division Chief, he is the Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Co-Director of the GHS Facial Trauma Network, Attending Surgeon of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck, an Assistant Professor at the USC College of Medicine, Greenville, and LtCol, US Air Force Reserve, 59th Surgical Specialty Squadron in Texas. Dr. Brown’s ENT interests include functional and cosmetic nasal surgery, facial trauma, facial reconstruction after skin cancer, head and neck reconstruction, microvascular surgery, facial nerve reconstruction and rehabilitation, and development of value-based and patient-focused health delivery systems. His research interests at the Clemson University Bioengineering Department include 3D modeling and virtual surgery planning for facial trauma, novel devices to simply postoperative wound healing in nasal surgery, and facial nerve regeneration vehicles.

Michael S. Cooter, M.D.
Dr. Cooter received his Doctorate of Medicine from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT. He is board certified in Otolaryngology and is an active staff member of Greenville Health System. He joined Greenville ENT Associates, PA in July 1998.

Paul Davis III, M.D.
Dr. Davis received his Doctorate of Medicine from Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He also completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Wake Forest. Dr. Davis went on to do a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology at the University of Auckland/Auckland City Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. He is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Academy of Otolaryngologic Allergy and the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. His special interests include head and neck oncology, microvascular reconstruction, and diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.

William D. Frazier, M.D.
Dr. Frazier received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami, Florida. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology and is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Frazier is an active staff member of the Greenville Health System and has been practicing in Greenville since 2009. His special interests include the treatment of adult and pediatric otolaryngology, sinus disease and voice disorders.

Patrick W. McLear M.D.
Dr. McLear received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his internship and medical residency in Otolaryngology at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO. He is board certified in Otolaryngology and a member of Fellow American College of Surgeons. Dr. McLear is an active staff member of Greenville Health System. He has been practicing in Greenville since 1992.

John G. Phillips, M.D.
Dr. Phillips received his Doctorate of Medicine from Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He is board certified in Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Phillips is a founding member of Greenville ENT, which was established in 1992. Since 2000, he has been a member or leader of the ENT Cleft Team in Kijabe, Kenya. The ENT Cleft Team is sponsored by World Medical Missions, Bethany Relief and Rehabilitation, and Smile Train, and makes yearly trips to East Africa to treat children with cleft lip and palate deformities. Without intervention, the deformities would be left untreated, but with surgical intervention, children who would be outcasts are mainstreamed back into family and community life.

Andrew M. Rampey, M.D.
Dr. Rampey Received is Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa. He is Board elegible in Otolarygology. Dr. Rampey is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. His special interests include general otolaryngology, otologic surgery, and Head and Neck Cancer Surgery. He joined Greenville ENT in 2011.

Charles E. Smith, M.D.
Dr. Smith received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology also at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is board certified in Otolaryngology and holds a SC license in dentistry as well. Dr. Smith is an active staff member of Greenville Health System. He has been practicing in Greenville since 1990 and came to Greenville ENT Associates, PA in 1994.
